Business loan in Delhi
Delhi's business economy is built on trade, and trade throws up funding problems that manufacturing does not: thin margins on high turnover, stock that has to be paid for before it moves, and buyers who take their time. Here is how lenders read a Delhi file.
Can I get a business loan without collateral in Delhi?
Yes. Unsecured business loans are available to Delhi businesses from banks and NBFCs, assessed on trading history, bank account conduct, declared turnover, existing obligations and credit record rather than on pledged property. Registered micro and small enterprises may also access guarantee-backed collateral-free credit. Approval depends on the lender's assessment of your business, so eligibility is worth checking before you apply.
The business landscape in Delhi
Delhi's commercial base is unusually varied within short distances. Okhla, Naraina, Wazirpur and Bawana carry garments, packaging, metal work, electricals and light engineering. Karol Bagh, Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar and Lajpat Nagar run high-volume wholesale and retail trade, much of it on relationships older than any credit policy. Nehru Place and its surroundings handle electronics and IT hardware. Across South and Central Delhi there is a substantial professional services economy — clinics, consultancies, agencies and studios — whose funding needs look nothing like a factory's.
What these have in common is that revenue is often larger than what the books show, and that the gap between the two is the single thing that most limits the funding available.
Common funding requirements here
| Business type | Typical requirement | What usually decides the file |
|---|---|---|
| Wholesale and distribution | Stock purchase ahead of season; bridging buyer credit | Banked turnover against declared turnover; how consistently receipts are routed through the business account |
| Light manufacturing and job work | Raw material, machinery, capacity expansion | Concentration of orders among a few principals, and whether GST filings match production |
| Retail and showroom | Fit-out, inventory, a second outlet | Card and UPI settlement flows through the business account; rent versus ownership of premises |
| Professional services and clinics | Equipment, premises, working capital between billing cycles | Filed income, which is often understated relative to actual receipts |
| Exporters and traders | Pre-shipment and post-shipment gaps | Receivable quality and the currency and timing of realisations |
What tends to decide files in Delhi
Banked versus declared turnover. This is the recurring issue across Delhi's trading markets. A business genuinely doing ₹6 crore may show ₹2 crore through the business account, with the rest moving through personal accounts or outside the banking system entirely. A lender can only lend against what it can verify. The fix is unglamorous and effective: route receipts through the business account consistently for a few months before applying.
Property documentation. Delhi has property categories that lenders treat very differently — regularised colonies with their own conveyance history, freehold conversion status that may or may not be complete, and family properties where ownership was never formally divided among heirs. None of this is automatically disqualifying, but it decides which lender can look at a secured case and how long it takes.
Premises on rent. A large share of Delhi's trading businesses operate from rented premises, which removes the easiest collateral option. That makes the quality of the unsecured file — banking, GST, bureau record — the whole case rather than part of it.

Questions people ask
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a business loan in Delhi without collateral?
Yes. Unsecured business loans are widely available to Delhi businesses and are assessed on trading history, bank conduct, filed returns and credit record rather than on pledged property. Registered micro and small enterprises may also access guarantee-backed collateral-free credit through member lending institutions.
My business is in a rented shop in Karol Bagh. Does that affect eligibility?
It removes the option of offering those premises as security, but it does not prevent unsecured borrowing. What matters more is the quality of your banking, the consistency between GST returns and bank credits, and your credit record. A registered rent agreement and utility bill in the business name also help establish business address proof.
A lot of my sales are in cash. Can I still get a business loan?
You can apply, but the amount will be sized to what a lender can verify. Cash sales that are not deposited into the business account do not support your case. Depositing receipts consistently for three to six months before applying, and filing returns that reflect the real business, generally changes the outcome more than any other single step.
Which parts of Delhi does Cavaris Capital work in?
Across the city — including the Okhla, Naraina, Wazirpur and Bawana industrial areas, the Karol Bagh, Chandni Chowk and Sadar Bazar trading markets, Nehru Place, and business districts across South, West, North and East Delhi.
